SharkVPN (“SharkVPN,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the information associated with your use of our applications, websites, VPN services, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.

By using SharkVPN, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you use SharkVPN.

Account Information

If you create or use a SharkVPN account, we may process information such as:

  • Email address

  • Display name

  • Authentication information

  • Account status

  • Subscription or entitlement information

  • Account creation and update timestamps

Passwords, where applicable, are stored using secure password-hashing techniques rather than as readable passwords.

Social Sign-In Information

SharkVPN may allow you to authenticate using supported identity providers such as Google or Apple.

When you use social sign-in, we may receive information made available by the provider, such as:

  • Provider-specific user identifier

  • Email address

  • Name, where provided

  • Verified-email status

  • Authentication-related information required to validate the sign-in

SharkVPN does not require access to your Google or Apple account password.

Apple users who select Hide My Email may provide SharkVPN with an Apple private-relay email address instead of their underlying personal email address. We accept such verified relay addresses and do not require you to disclose the underlying email address solely because you use Apple's privacy relay.

Device and Application Information

We may process limited technical information necessary to operate and secure the Services, including:

  • Device or installation identifiers

  • Device platform

  • Operating system and version

  • SharkVPN application version

  • Registered devices

  • Push-notification tokens

  • Authentication/session information

  • Technical diagnostics

  • Connection state and service-health information

This information may be used for authentication, device management, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, notifications, and reliable operation of the VPN service.

2. VPN Service Information

SharkVPN processes technical information necessary to establish, maintain, secure, and account for VPN connections.

This may include information such as:

  • Selected VPN location or node

  • VPN session identifier

  • Connection and disconnection timestamps

  • Session state

  • Duration

  • Data-transfer or bandwidth accounting information

  • Technical connection and failure information

  • Information required to determine service entitlement and remaining VPN access

We use this information to provide the VPN service, enforce service limits, calculate usage or rewarded access, detect operational problems, and maintain service reliability.

Internet Activity

SharkVPN is designed to transport your network traffic through our VPN infrastructure.

We do not intend to use the contents of your VPN traffic for advertising or to build profiles of your browsing behavior.

We do not sell your browsing history.

Operational infrastructure may necessarily process network information while routing traffic. We aim to limit collection and retention to information reasonably required for operation, security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, accounting, and legal obligations.

3. Free and Rewarded Access

SharkVPN may offer free VPN access through rewarded advertising.

When you voluntarily watch a rewarded advertisement, information associated with the reward may be processed to:

  • Verify that an eligible advertisement or reward event occurred

  • Prevent duplicate or fraudulent rewards

  • Calculate VPN access earned through rewards

  • Enforce reward limits

  • Maintain service accounting

Advertising providers may independently process device, advertising, network, or interaction information according to their own privacy policies and applicable consent requirements.

SharkVPN's backend remains authoritative regarding whether a reward has been earned and how much VPN access is available.

4. Advertising

SharkVPN may use third-party advertising services, including Google advertising technologies, to provide advertisements and rewarded advertising.

Depending on your platform, region, privacy choices, and applicable law, advertising providers may process information such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from network information, and advertisement interactions.

Where required, we will request applicable consent or provide available privacy choices.

Advertising providers process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

SharkVPN may offer paid subscriptions, purchases, or other paid access.

Payments may be processed through third parties such as:

  • Google Play

  • Apple App Store

  • Supported payment providers

  • Supported regional payment methods

SharkVPN generally does not need to receive your complete payment-card credentials when payments are processed by an external payment provider.

We may receive and retain information necessary to verify and administer a purchase, such as:

  • Product or plan

  • Transaction or purchase identifier

  • Payment provider

  • Purchase status

  • Subscription status

  • Expiration or renewal information

  • Verification result

  • Limited accounting information

Payment providers process payment information under their own privacy policies and terms.

6. Support Requests

If you contact SharkVPN or submit a support request, we may process:

  • Your account information

  • Email address

  • Ticket reference

  • Subject and category

  • Messages you send to us

  • Support correspondence

  • Relevant application, device, or operating-system context

  • Ticket status and support history

This information is used to investigate and respond to your request and improve the reliability and security of our Services.

Internal administrative notes used by SharkVPN personnel are not intended to be exposed as customer correspondence.

Please do not include passwords, authentication tokens, payment-card numbers, private keys, or other unnecessary sensitive information in support messages.

7. Notifications and Email

SharkVPN may send transactional or operational communications concerning matters such as:

  • Email verification

  • Password reset

  • Account security

  • Support-ticket activity

  • Account status

  • Account recovery or deletion

  • Important service information

Where supported and permitted, we may also send push notifications.

Promotional communications, where offered, are handled separately from communications that are reasonably necessary to operate, secure, or administer your account.

8. How We Use Information

We may use information described in this Policy to:

  • Provide and maintain SharkVPN

  • Authenticate users

  • Manage accounts and devices

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration.

9. Service Providers

We may use third-party providers to operate portions of SharkVPN, including services relating to:

  • Cloud and server infrastructure

  • Authentication

  • Push notifications

  • Email delivery

  • Advertising

  • Application distribution

  • Payment processing

  • Security and monitoring

These providers may process information necessary to perform their respective services.

For example, SharkVPN currently integrates technologies associated with Google/Firebase and may use platform services provided by Apple and Google.

Their handling of information is also governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

10. Information Sharing

We may disclose information:

  • To service providers performing services on our behalf

  • When necessary to process or verify a transaction

  • When necessary to provide requested support

  • To protect the security and integrity of SharkVPN

  • To investigate fraud, abuse, or attacks

  • When required by applicable law, court order, or valid legal process

  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or transfer of the business, subject to appropriate safeguards

We do not sell users' VPN browsing histories to advertisers.

11. Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information processed by SharkVPN.

Depending on the type of information and system involved, these measures may include:

  • Encrypted network communications

  • Secure authentication

  • Password hashing

  • Encryption of selected sensitive stored information

  • Access controls

  • Role-based administrative permissions

  • Session revocation

  • Audit records

  • Input validation

  • Abuse and rate-limit controls

  • Restricted administrative operations

No Internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access or security incidents will never occur.

12. Data Retention

We retain different categories of information for different periods based on their purpose.

Information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide the Services

  • Maintain an active account

  • Administer subscriptions and transactions

  • Maintain security and prevent abuse

  • Resolve support requests

  • Meet accounting requirements

  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims

  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

We seek to avoid retaining information longer than reasonably necessary for its intended purpose.

Certain limited operational, accounting, security, transaction, or audit records may need to remain after account deletion where retention is necessary or legally required.

13. Account Deletion

SharkVPN provides an account-deletion process.

When a standard deletion request is accepted, the account may enter a 60-day recovery period. During this period, access may be revoked while the account remains eligible for recovery.

If you recover the account within the permitted recovery period, recovery does not extend an otherwise expired subscription, trial, reward, or entitlement.

After the applicable deletion period expires, SharkVPN may finalize the deletion and anonymization process according to our account lifecycle procedures.

Certain authorized administrative circumstances may permit immediate account finalization where applicable.

Deletion does not necessarily require removal of every record where limited information must be retained for security, fraud prevention, accounting, transaction integrity, legal obligations, or other legitimate purposes.

14. Your Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal information, which may include rights to:

  • Request access

  • Request correction

  • Request deletion

  • Object to or restrict certain processing

  • Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent

  • Exercise applicable advertising/privacy choices

You may also manage certain account, notification, and privacy settings through SharkVPN where those controls are available.

Requests may be subject to reasonable identity verification and applicable legal exceptions.

15. Children's Privacy

SharkVPN is not intended for children below the minimum age required to independently consent to use of the Services under applicable law.

We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.

If you believe a child has provided information to SharkVPN contrary to applicable requirements, please contact us.

16. International Processing

SharkVPN operates network and service infrastructure that may be located in multiple countries.

As a result, information may be processed in countries other than the country in which you reside.

Where required, we take appropriate measures concerning international transfers and processing of personal information.

Selecting a VPN location may also cause your Internet traffic to be routed through infrastructure in the selected location.

17. Third-Party Websites and Services

SharkVPN may contain links to third-party websites, application stores, payment providers, or other services.

Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and SharkVPN is not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third parties.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as SharkVPN, applicable law, or our data practices change.

When we make changes, we will update the Last Updated date and may provide additional notice where appropriate or legally required.

Material changes will apply in accordance with applicable law.
